The modalities Jamie has been trained in:

Swedish/Relaxation: This is the most basic of all methods. A flowing and firm pressure massage that uses gliding strokes and gentle friction techniques. Relax, restore, and renew the body with slow strokes by increasing the blood circulation and production of serotonin and dopamine. Gently increases range of motion.

Active Cupping: Used with a soft silicone cup and creme, this tool is used to lift & separate soft tissue. Benefits include lymphatic drainage, loosens adhesions, moves stagnation, increases circulation, helps with cellulite. Great post workout modality!

Myofascial: This modality is used to help clients who have restricted flexibility and movement to return to normal movement and greater function. Gentle application of pressure and a sustained low load stretch to the affected area. Progress is gauged by the level of increased motion or function experienced, and or decrease in pain felt by the client. Trigger point therapy: a contraction of muscle fibers has occurred and the restriction inhibits blood flow to the affected areas, which increases the contraction process further unless treated.

Event Sports Massage: This type of therapy uses specific massage techniques that can speed the healing and recuperation of many common sports injuries, as well as prepare an athlete for a competition. During Events only

PNF Stretching: Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation; muscle is actively stretched, then contracts isometricaly against resistance, then is actively stretched again to facilitate increased range of motion.

Orthopedic Sports Massage: Includes assessment and balancing of muscles & joint capsule work. Clients must wear shorts & sports bra or workout clothing.

All Sessions Are By Appointment Only

For an hour massage, the schedule is set to 75 minutes per client (60 minutes table time and 15 minutes for getting on and off the table, payment, and rescheduling). This extra time allows for each client to check in on how their body is feeling and what their needs and expectations are for the session.

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored.

Cancelation

A 24-hour notice is required for cancelation of an appointment, or you will be charged in full for the appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

Tardiness

Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.

Sickness

Massage/bodywork is not appropriate care for infectious or contagious illness. Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition.

No-shows

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
